Featured Replies

Hi all, i am new to VCDS, but I scanned my octavia and it came up with this fault codes. I did a scan because the light check engine is on and I wanted to know, with your help I hope, what is the problem.

I checked it on RossTech Wiki this fault codes but still don't understand what it means. that car drives and feels ok in city but when I am on motorway and I have 70 mph she enter in limp mode.

Any helpful info would be much appreciated.

Hello mate since you are getting rough running at a reasonable load (48%) and at a reasonable speed (80mph) ;-) it seems it is getting force fed too much air probably due to the diverter valve stuck closed/sticking or the wastegate not opening both of these components help to relieve or increase turbo boost pressure. You mite also want to check hoses are connected OK and not split. As for the glow plug fault it may or may not be related the incorrect air to fuel ratio would cause bad starting tho which may bring up a glow plug fault. The EGR wouldnt cause misfire or limp mode under load so maybe that fault is seperate or flaggng up because the whole engine management system is linked. At worst a faulty EGR would cause rough idle. Id fix the turbo fault causing rough running first then re-scan. Good luck :-)
