Lowering 40mm standard fabia

Featured Replies

hi guys, wondered if any one has any opinions/knowledge/pics on lowering 40mm, wanting to do it to my fabia next week

Hi Rob

a few different ways to lower - no expert but I took the coilover option and went down about 45 - 50mm - do a search to lowering and you'll find many posts on what others have done

here's mine with coilies fitted

hope this helps

Yeah coilovers will give you that drop with some ride comfort still.

Have you got a budget in mind?

Damian @ DPM Performance

I've never just fitted lowering springs to any car, a decent matched shock/spring combo or coil-overs are the way to go. If you're on a budget you could do a lot worse than JOM for the money. DPM sell them (as do others afaik) and the feedback i've read on other VAG forums is positive (certainly more so than the ride if you've just fitted springs) and the warranty they offer seems good considering the price.

yeah, i think ill go the coilovers route, would be nice to keep a decent ride in the process haha, any companies i should steer away from?
