Cripes! Fabia VRS Woes...

Featured Replies

OK, so i had my front rear bushes uprated to cupra ones and i fed back on here not too long ago about how pleased i was with them. this opinion has since changed, as i never realised just how noisy they are! proper creaky noises coming from them now, so much so that its embarrasing to drive the car! also, the car has developed a 'metal to metal' grinding noise from the front drivers side as the wheels turn - not good. i've got it booked into the garage that did the work for me on friday morning so hopefully my issues may be resolved. looking back, i wish i'd spent a little more on the Powerflex bushes...

you live and learn, eh?

(sigh)...

Iain.

Can't say mine have ever creaked to be honest!

Probaly just need re-lubing up.

Mine only creak over bumps when it's very cold for some reason and have no more noise than the standards to be honest. It could all be connected to the metal grinding noise.

I had a metal grinding noise on my car, a couple of years back , when on full left lock. Turned out to be a knackered drop link causing something to rub against the alloy.

I've had the cupra bushes in for over a year now. No noise or rubbing noises off mine

No issues with mine either. Got the below on my vRS.

KW1 Adjustable Height Coilovers approx. 40mm

KW Shortened Drop Links

Leon Cupra R Suspension Poly Bushes Front & Rear

Superpro Polybush Dog Bone Mounts

Jabbasport Rear Anti Roll Bar

Black Rear Strut Brace

I also have a creaking from them. But how low my car is probably doesn't help.. Does it get annoying but hey ho!

well i took the car to the garage, and when they had it up on the ramps, they could hear the grinding as they turned the wheel but couldnt see anything. he took the wheel off and prodded around with the brakes and a tiny little stone fell from between the disc and the protector thing! little git of a thing. that was the grinding noise found, next was the creaking. up on ramps, down again, up again and down too. took it back out and now i can say its alot better but i can still hear some creaking. must say though, i cant tell if it is now the creaking my seat makes or the bushes!

does anyone know a quick fix on the seat creaking? i suppose you'll all say WD40?

Iain

I'd go for a lythium spray rather than wd40 as it smells a lot less something like gt85

Mine only creak over bumps when it's very cold for some reason

Funny enough, although mine is a baby vrs, it's the same .
