GT5 Official Briskoda Gamenight Thread

Featured Replies

Was pretty good racing with B33fy tonight even though it took me a while to get back into it. Thought it would be good to make it a regular thing of it. If people are up for it suggest one day a week and a time we could all do and perhaps some races we could have too. If people make suggestions then people can prepare a bit for it. there's nothing worse that being in a room and not the right car to race.

I'm thinking 8pm on a Sunday but the room will be setup and code posted an hour before so people can prepare however they wish. As for races we can have stuff like less than 500pp, one make standard car racing, etc you get the idea.

So who's interested?

I've just got on but have never played online before,

Where do you enter the room number?

They do this on MX5 owners club forum but surprise surprise thay only really use the

vast variety of mx5s in the game.

NOT ONE SKODA?? Come on polyphony!!

You enter the number on one of the options on the bottom left once you are in the lobby select bit

Sorry I couldn't play after 10. Brother working mornings so wanted to go to bed. We've got a few days so think of races, cars, tracks and conditions we could do and we can sort out cars especially well in advance. I think Sunday would be a good day and we can start anytime as I'm off

Yeah I would be up for this....off snowboarding for 10 days tonight but reckon its a great shout for when I'm back

In hoping to make it a regular thing so once we set a day and time then everyone know that's when Briskoda has their GT5 gamenight.

Would also be nice to know who uses what. Controller or wheel, tcs, abs, etc. The only things I don't want people using is active steering and antispin

Can that be policed?!?

Can that be policed?!?

No but it's hardly the FIA lol

I reckon ABS set to one only, maybe beginners could use the others to get them into shape.

I use a G25 when I can be bothered to set it up,

Ha of course!

But despite being really crap (and rusty!) I am very competitive!

I'll not lie, I'm no senna, but I do enjoy a hoon, not really bothered if I win.

I've never really set the world alight on games other than Rock and Roll racing on snes, oh and I caould pwn the crap out of on BF3 on pc http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/fatty5000/stats/319446666/

Wow, rock n roll racing, what a game... Got it on me psp!

I'm in for that ?

There's plenty of restrictions you could add but not sure how specific they are in regards to exact levels of tcs and abs. I'm far from brilliant but once I've got my eye in I'm not too bad. I normally have no tcs unless I really struggle and abs on 1, maybe 2 if I'm driving something really light. Most of time it holds you back and controlling throttle properly sorts it. I've never gone into fine tuning camber and suspensions settings tbh I just drive the car. Last night me and B33fy had GTR race cars and I couldn't touch him but then I realised I had hard tyres on. Softs made a big difference.

Think first two races to get peoples eye in should be all standard Mk5 Golf GTI's (since it's the closest to a Skoda) on a smaller track then perhaps the Nurburgring then go for a say 400bhp car then we'll increase as we go. I was way out of practice last night and took until the end to get into it so I think something like this makes sense.

I've just bought the new thrustmaster steering wheel and pedals with manual and flappy paddles

Will have to try and catch you all online soon.

Got to say my favourite online racing in GT5 was with Shuffle mode - balances out skill levels with better/worse cars.

setting up a room for 6:30 "briskoda" on the autumn ring will post room number up once done if anyone's interested

1472 6681 3115 0603 2913

I'll break out the wheel in about 30 mins ish

I'm on lol

Good race b33fy

Where did you all go lol

I'll set up a room now if anyones around join in

I'll call it briskoda
