Hesitation when accelerating

Featured Replies

So, here I am again, just having got over one issue and back with another!

Latest fault on my fabia 1.9td (2001) is that when I accelerate at higher speeds the car sort of splutters and hesitates before pulling...have replaced the fuel filter but still doing it. Hubby thrashed it yesterday and it was ok for the rest of the day but now its doing it again today. Any ideas appreciated, Donna

Oh, my son put the vag com thingy on it and its showing no faults, only something to do with the horn

Could be the EGR getting caked up although that only tends to affect later engines (EURO IV) like the BLT. Lots of stuff about EGR getting clogged to be found in the forums here though, I believe it is relatively simple to check and clean up although I've not tried it myself.

I scanned it again today and this fault code has magically appeared!

18075 - PD Unit Injector; Cylinder 2 (N241)

P1667 - 35-00 - Electrical Malfunction

Injector wiring harness??

Try a injector wiring loom first lot cheaper than a injector and a few have been known to breakdown with age.
