MPI to VRS conversion checklist

Guys some confirmations I need here as I couldn't find previous posts...

I saw on a previous thread that for a 1.6MPI convert to a BWA 2.0TFSI swap I would need the following parts:

VRS Axles

BWA engine/tranny (DSG) TCM & ECU

New dash

Instrumentation cluster

new suspension

Wiring loom

Fresh cut keys (or can my OEM 1.6MPI be reprogrammed)

etc. etc..

What else am I missing?

My question is why can't the 1.6MPI dash work with the conversion?from lookin at the fuse box to the side of the dash it doesn't seem to be fixed and can be removed (open to correction)

Seems a lot of work.. Is it worth?

sadly enough it is....we don't get the VRS in our market :(....only the 1.8T motor, and I will be the only one in my country with this...it would also be cheaper than importing one ....should run me about TT$40k maybe less...it's not as hard as it seems on paper...the only barrier would be the wiring....but any clue as to why or if I need to replace the 1.6 dash with a VRS one?
