Newbie help with skoda please immobiliser issue

New to the forum

customer has brought a fabia 2000 1.4 mpi in today, they have tried to fit a dial kit to the clocks and have taken out the plug to the speedo unit, car does starts and then cuts out on immobliser since plug disconnected. the key light is flashing all the time,

the car was starting and running untill person removed plug from clock, I have scene the post about programing new keys etc. there is no central locking on the car and they are just standard keys, no buttons on the key

How do we get the immobiliser to reset, surely the keys have not lost there code rather the dash clocks are not connecting with ecu

any help would be great on this, We do have obd scanner etc
