fuel filler cap won't close

Featured Replies

Outer cap won't close is it the motor? And where is the motor located? Thanks lads

Surely that is obvious where it is located????

Have you looked behind the trim in the boot...

That's kinda like sayin all fuel pumps are in the tank lol thanks anyway mate it surely has to be near there anyway

More likely to be the latch, or the return spring if it won't stay closed (from memory that is how it works)

Motor, catch, spring, et al are all mounted next to the cap itself, but accessed from inside the boot, via the door in the trim.

anybody got a pic of what I should be looking for once I whizz the carpet off ?

its fiddly to get to, its like a small whiteish box with an arm running out of it, thats probably not pulling back so your cover wont close, iirc it bolts to the strut area inside the carpet covered bit.

pm me if yours doesnt work as i think i have one on my for sale thread,
