After trading my Octavia 4x4 Turbo for a Mondeo Diesel about 6 years ago and having regretted it ever since. I needed a single car as due to parting with my both my "toy" (TVR and a Kit car) cars due to separation I'm back in an Octavia, just bought a 2003 VRS in silver !!!!

The test drive was like putting on a pair of familiar shoes, pick it up on Saturday.

One thing, sounds like the exhausts blowing at start up then it's OK after a few seconds, I'm guessing that's the purge canister ?

Hi guys so the bcm on my 09 octavia left the chat recently and I had an auto electric place code in a second hand one for me . The issue I'm having now is when i select side lights the actual side lights only the filament is glowing and the drl in the fogs illuminate. The car never had the drls working prior to the bcm replacement and thr car lock never chirped either. Another issue I have is both door mirrors aren't working and I tries to replace them with an aftermarket set but still no luck.

Since I had the car, every time I drove it, it has had what my wife called a rattling from the doors. I always characterised it as a creak. As the car is otherwise so quiet (especially when on battery at slow speed) it was quite noticable.
