1/4 Strip, FWD & Tyres?

Featured Replies

So I've been racing my little mk2 fabia vrs on a 1/4 strip a few times and It's quite addictive!

I'm looking at getting some semi slick tyres, but is it worth getting a full set of 4, or just having semi slicks on the front where the power goes?

I have been thinking about getting some Maxsport RB5's for the front on my 15' steel wheels I use for winter and running them on the front, with the standard 17's on the back with a high tyre pressure to keep them solid. While keeping the fronts lower at about 20psi.

Any advice?

Cant really afford a full set of four, so will two semi slick wheels be worth while over standard car tyes.

personally i think all you really need to change is the front tyres. Maybe someone will correct me but when you see rear wheel drive cars drag racing they have good slicks on the back and normal tyres on the front.

Space savers on the back. ;)
