Group buy FMIC problems!

Featured Replies

It started badly with the wrong amount of clamps but hey! **** happens! I start fitting it allto find that they had only included one large diameter hose for the intercooler so my car is now off the road until i call monday and get a replacement pipe!

Did anyone have this problem? As i have the correct outlet larger pipe but not inlet side. They are probably a similar shape but only having 1 is always an issue!!

I had same,it will fit tho just needs stretching on at the inlet side, being a tight fit can never be a bad thing where boost is involved :-)

This does seem to be somethign of a problem. It's like they make the kits up on the fly with zero QC. Many people have had issues with clamps missing or the wrong size hose supplied.

Did either of you get new pipes? Mine will not force over at all unless trimme which should not be needed! I will be calling tomorrow and giving them some grief! As i want a pipe that fits correctly. I am glad its not just me! Also did you guys have to cut the metal pipe which feeds to the last pipe before the turbo? As this was not mentioned but had to be done also!

Thanks olly

I'm guessing you are talking silicon hoses here yes?

if they are tight and you have to stretch them a little to get them on it's not ideal tbh, but if you chuck the silicon hose in a pan of boiling water for a few minuites it will make it supple enough to ease it on the pipe.

I spoke to the company yesterday and it is the correct pipe and just had to be forced over. Not ideal but its working. One clamp not on 100% perfect as when lots of power starts to sound like a deflating ballon! Will look next weekend now. Also have to trim the undertrey to fit in to! Will be worth it though.

Thanks olly
