Felicia Timing Belt/Water Pump

Featured Replies

By late summer I'll need to change the timing belt on the pick up. I'll probably end up doing the water pump at the same time and working on a really tight budget I may have to take it on myself. Is it a realistic diy job on a Felicia and if so are any special tools required? A few people have in the past hinted the Felicia isn't too bad to do and the working room looks reasonable compared to say the 1.8 Octy we had. Cheers.

Nice easy job mate, just need a jack under the engine as you need to undo the engine mount bolts (2 from underneath) its all timed up with marks on the pulleys so no timing tools needed just a 6mm allen key to do the tensioner and the crank pulley (4x 6mm socket head screws DON'T undo the big nut in the centre of it)

45 mins on a good day with the water pump too lol

Hi & thanks for that. I appreciate you'd nail it in 45 mins but I'd be going well to achieve that. I'll be happy to take my time and hopefully get it right. Cheers.
