I wondered if anyone can help!

When driving my skoda superb today! i noticed it was sluggish in 2nd and 3rd gears

and producing a fair bit of smoke when revving above 3000 rpm

as car is used as a taxi! i thought maybe just needs a bit of blow out

so took up a nearby hill, It stuttered a little but climbed hill ok!

It was then i noticed Engine management light on

so i took car home! light still on ! and still cloud of smoke when revved above 3000-4000rpm

when car stationary!,it starts fine and idles at correct speed!

car is a 2007 1.9 tdi

could be your air mass meter

Agree could be the MAF or a clogged air filter.

Unplug the MAF and see if it runs better.If it does then it will need replacing.
