Air-Con Sanitizer and FABIAS do they work together?

Featured Replies

My Fabia 2010 Facelift TSI 1,2 is nearly 2 years old and a while ago i came across Air-Con Sanitizer used to clean contamination/bacteria and bad odours from your car and wanted to know if it will harm the actual air condition as you are mean to set AC to recirculate, close the window and let the AC work it through(the spray spraying the stuff in the car)for around 20 minutes with the engine running.

Just change the pollen filteri

Yes it should work fine but you need to remove the pollen filter and then aim the can into the open slot for it to work properly.

I've used one of these, its like a smoke bomb...set it, off place on the floor and close the door. Worked quite sucessfully, just don't leave any paper in the car, as the process creates a bit of moisture.

I've used two, with differing results.

The first was fantastic. It was fairly expensive out of Halford's IIRC. Smelled really fresh afterwards.

The second was a cheaper one from Amazon that smelled of orange... that was horrendous and it loitered for months.

Had no probs with these either in Skud or Toyota mota! I would remove the filter next time though and put a new one in after
