Faults Database

Don't think it has been done before, but is there a possibility of a faults database. Contents would include model, variant, year, dealer, fault etc.Might help when either the dealer or Skoda say " never seen that before, yours is the first". Just might help in the case of a dispute when there have been X cases of the widget failing. I can assist in collating the info if necessary. If a faults database does exist then can someone pleaase point it out.

I have always thought more about a 'Knowledge Base' as such....It would include said fault, unique reference, model and year(s) of car it appears on and of course action to be taken next.

I suppose the title is unimportant, the main thing would be to get as much info included as possible. The eventual fix/outcome would assist others in dealing with Skoda or a particular dealer for a warranty claim or for an own repair. Might also help by not having to troll through numerous posts to find an answer. Thanks for the reply.

Very good idea. In industry we have such data bases called FRACAS in the aircraft industry which list faults and fixes etc.

Putting a simple but useful one into practice may be difficult because people describe the same fault using different words. Perhaps a data dictionary should be included to prevent this from happening.
