Ok im quite new to this so what do i need to do to find out if it is the dogbone and i take it there is one on tye right and on the left of the car

Just one, in the centre underneath at the back of the engine, remove the undershield, undo the holding bolts, remove & replace and tighten up.

Ok how do i no if it is this making the knocking noise or have i just got to change it ajd hope that it cures it

Remove it - if there's a lot of play in it... Then it's more than likely this.

You can either replace with stock, or get uprated bushes for it - but be prepared for plenty of cabin vibration if you do.

Ok ill check it over the weekend. Cheers

Yes, use the standard part from Skoda if you want to be vibrationless, otherwise it's a harsh ride.
