Electric Windows

Featured Replies

Hi there i have searched using this forum and i have found a few answers to fixing the electric windows i have tried a number of the fixes and they have not worked.

In my case both windows are not working no matter what i do.

What would you replace first to fix this?

Thanks Inkey

Daft question, but have you checked the fuses?

Also, do they just do nothing, or do they make a noise when you try to open them?

Yea i have checked all the fuses.

Do you have a multimeter?

Take off the door card and see if voltage is going to the motor before going to the expense of replacing it.

Hi i have the same problem but when i remove both fuses 25a the windows work untill i leave the car off for various times,i was told possible the door motor module on the drivers side but as yet unable to find out if this module is availiable seperately

So the windows have started working again with this good weather is there anywhere that is common that gets damp and it afffects the electric windows?

Try the plugs in the footwells/kick panels? There's a mention somewhere of how to remove the boot lever somewhere too.

Still not got this going i stripped the car top to bottom.

There is no power going to the motor the fuses are all working.

try a set of switches from someone elses fabia first, this will rule out the switches being at fault
