Al, have you fitted one to a 1.8 tsi yet? Any further info on it's suitability would be great. Thanks.

We personally haven't done any yet, but APR have done. The info page that Daz has put up is pretty informative! :)

(Cheers Daz!)

In terms of overall costs though I'm guessing you'd need to budget for an updated intercooler and updated clutch at the very least? Then a less restrictive exhaust and sports cat plus a better intake would surely be recomended to make the most if it?

Your clutch should be Ok really unless you are hard on it, although it would be right at its limits. You would need upgraded exhaust/intake etc to make the full power figures, but you could have it wihout and just run less power.

The clutch shouldn't be too much of an issue but would be recommended if you were gonna' have the lot done (intercooler, intake, exhaust etc.) then an uprated clutch would definitely be advisable.

The kit on it's own would give good power, but like you say other supporting parts will indeed be required to achieve the full potential of this turbo!

Wondering if an S3 intercooler would be safely enough also or whether it should have something more manly?

realistically, S3 would be fine, considering our climate over here. obviously an APR one would be better, but I cant imagine you doing much track racing in a Yeti tbh, Im off now, as we are going OT.

If I'm being totally honest, an S3 intercooler would probably be fine, but having no experience yet of discombobulating the front end of a Yeti, I'm unsure if they use the same setup. I'll have a gander through ETKA a little later and see what I can dig out :)

Looks promising! :)

I'd imagine most 2.0TFSI intercooler kits will fit on. So the S3 core should be fine. It may however require a couple of pipes to make the connections!

Yeti = Push/Snap fit Clip fitment

S3 = Slip over / Jubilee clip fitment

Just as a quick update on this, we now have a fully fitted price for these TSI KO4 Kits -

£3180 all in - This includes the turbo kit, Fitting, Mapping and also includes fresh oil and oil filter and fresh coolant!

VAT included?

Yep! I don't like 'Plus Vat' prices as 99% of people prefer to see what they'll actually be paying rather than having to piffle around with a calculator.
