Hi guys.

Had a Skoda octavia back almost 4 years ago. Joined while I had it and then haven't really been on since I sold her.

Been looking for a 1.9 TDI mk1 octavia estate for the last month with no joy. Last night I found a nice one only she's the 1.6 petrol. Got sick of looking at pieces of junk and just bit the bullet and collecting that one tonight.

Just wondering if there are any tips or tricks for me? Shes only an ambiente model but already have her booked in for retrofitting cruise control. Any mods or advice for me? Can I get her remapped? Should I if I can? I was asked while getting then cruise control in if I want those comfort lights aswel?

Just any mods you think I should get in general.

Welcome Flood - I had an Ambient Estate for over 4 years and found it had plenty of equipment, engine wise it was the 1.9 TDi.

I too had cruise control fitted but feel I wanted anything else from a retro fit POV.

I have a 2014 diesel octavia estate 1.6 blk edition. Lately, and since service my mpg is alot lower than normal. I understand my car is old but recently ive noticed im using more fuel. Ive asked my usual mechanic and hes replied with the expected answer i thought hed suggest which is weather, tyres, speed, fuel prices and that mpg is never ro be trusted. Im not taking fuel prices into consideration as im seeing my fuel being used up more. Mpg today has been 34,on a route i normally use and get

Hey all, Managed to get under my partners car at the weekend to service it and change the oil. Whilst there I was quite taken by how clean the engine was, but there was a patch of what looked like oil on the undertray. This was later discovered to be coming (I believe) from the gearbox drain plug. The car has had a new clutch, flywheel and replacement box in the last twelve months and so I can only assume there's an issue with the drain plug or a seal. Looking really closely at the drain plug

I used a copy of this MSTD_EU_SK_P6230 MU0490 if anyone else needs, the site I think I had it from was mibsolution.one is currently down though. I was wary of the copy I had and passage of time, but it worked fine installed, I just have to clear the fault code ( have odbeleven but pro ran out and doesn't cover the adaption by looks of it) Excuse the state of my interior I don't use the car that much and could use a vaccuum.

Hello! With the Heat we are experiencing in these days in Italy (more than 30º) I decided to use the the aircon, as last Summer it was really wonderful BUT with my surprise it doesn’t work! Hi all, recently bought a 2016 Fabia 1.2tsi with 1 key and it's the push button start, had 2 mobile locksmiths out and both have the same problem, they can cut and programme the keys so it locks and unlocks and will start the car but the new key they cut will only start the car if held right up to the button and then you get the dreaded "key not found" warning and noise,the original key works fine so I can't see that it's a car fault and I can put up with holding the spare key up to the switch a
