Anyone?????? :(

Tried this? http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/key-coding/

I mean, have you tried the second section of that? The bit that pairs fobs to the alarm, not the first bit that pairs the key transponder to the immobiliser...

Yes tried that more times than I can imagine too haha, thanks for the reply though :)

You cant lock the car whist there's a key in the ignition and the ignition is on!

To be fair I've never tried pairing keys so could be off on the wrong tack!

When I programmed my new key I programmed in the immobiliser through vag-tacho then programmed in the remote using this method:

Procedure For Matching Remote Key Fobs To The Car:

Using a spare key switch the ignition on.

Insert the key to be programmed into the driver’s door lock.

Manually lock the driver’s door using the key.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob once.

Wait for a least one second.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob twice.

The vehicle horn will sound to indicate correct programming.

Worked first time for me!

Hi jay

I'm having the same problem coding one of my sons keys for his 2006 fabia vrs.

It stopped working a few weeks ago after my missus gave it to his baby son to play with, and after multiple presses of the key fob buttons (all done out of range of the car) it would'nt work.

I've tried several times to recode the key with VAG com but it just wont recode ??? even though it beeps the alarm when you try to code it same as the working/good key.

I also but a new VAG battery (N105 283 01) into the fob but no luck.

I'm begining to think that because we dont have the 4-digit SKC number the car will prob have to go to the dealers to be recoded.

Bill.

You only need the 4-digit SKC code when coding the transponder in the key. Something that can only be done once and also isn't something that can be wiped from the key so I doubt that's the problem.

Does the key start the car ok?

On a side note if anyone does need to get their SKC code I am able to retrieve them :)

Hi Phil

I need to have the SKC code for my car as I wish to have a new key programmed outside of the dealer

network.

Please could you tell me how to, or retrieve my SKC for me.

Many thanks

You need the right cable/software that can access the dash clocks to retrieve the code.

I too needed to new key transponder programming in so bought it myself and did it.

Phil
