helix = dead

Featured Replies

less than 10k miles on my helix clutch + smf and its now out the car, cant be replated as its so badly fooked apparantly

really cant justify another £1k for a clutch that lasts 10k miles. think ima go new standard and just detune it. boring trying to maintain the car now and the bike is 100% more fun

It happens when running big power/torque. Mine has eating a sachs racing sintered paddle clutch & SMF only recently.

10k miles is a bit ridiculous though. Racing starts in 2nd gear quite often? That goes a long way to destroying them.

anyone tried both the helix and the new 'silent' smf kits darkside sell?

Few people on TDISport should have the Southbend that Darkside sell, they'd just started selling them in August last year when I needed a new clutch, and shortly after I bought my Sachs, TDISport arranged a Southbend group buy. Get good reviews over the pond, but mostly people on 5 speed boxes which is obviously a different arrangement.

Awesome are doing silent kits as well, which I'm told aren't Southbend, but I've never managed to find out 100% who does make them. Seem cheap though.

Awsome Silent kits are made by Tchniclutch *Google them LOL*
