ipod cable

Featured Replies

Whats the best cable to get to plug in my ipod?

well the xable you get from skoda or can now be picked up from ebay that lets you plug ipod into mdi unit.

could use the 3.5m jack socket near the handbrake but its pointless if your wanting some control of your ipod i.e change tracks etc

Use BT-AUDIO... Providing you have Bluetooth...

This just uses the car as a speak for your iPod/iPhone

My 3.5m jack just arrived today. 48p Amazon.

Assuming it is a VRS2 with an MDI socket then this one is at 99p.

eBay item no. 140732088207

Looks like they have a USB one at the same price which enables you to use a hard drive as well.

Well in theory one cable does come with the car. Some dealers will include this, some tend to be a bit difficult over it. Its worth asking!

There are 3 types; USB/mini-USB/Ipod. Dealer prices were £20/£20/£26 when I last looked. Cheaper on Ebay and they are common to Skoda/Seat/Audi/VW.

I went down the route of only having one cable, the USB one. BUT if you use the USB cable with say an iPod computer USB cable ( plug the computer cable into the Skoda supplied cable) the sound will not pass from the Skoda cable to the iPod cable as there is a wire missing.

Skoda have done this so you need to buy a cable for each music divide you have

Does that make sense??

Do you mean that you cannot have the following?

Mdi cable with USB cable, connecting the white cable to your iPod?

My car came with the iPod one which is great, but I also treated myself to an Ebay one for an old hard drive I had lying about. So I'm guessing I need to keep both in the car. I've not tried the USB one yet.

Yep thats correct, the Skoda UBS cable has a wire missing so it will not pass the sound from one cable to the next, It's to make you buy a cable for each device you have.

It's not part of the order the supplying dealer is to supply one free of charge. If you look in brochure it states it
