I have an Fabia VRS 03 reg which has a problem with the drivers door central locking

The key fob unlocks three doors but not the driver’s door although it does lock all four doors.

Using the key and turning the lock mechanically locks and unlocks all four doors.

This must be a door lock problem but I’ve read that there are several microswitches and any advice on what to check before stripping the door down would be appreciated, or should get another lock mechanism?
