My Fabia VRS 03 reg has an intermittent rattle or squeak from the clutch pedal . I did a search on here and found some horror stories about the DMF but I don’t think that’s the problem as I’ve cut the engine and the rattle persists . Although intermittent once it starts it carries on for ages yet other journeys I don’t get a noise at all. The return spring is securely returning the peddle but the noise, when it starts, is driving me nuts.

Any ideas?
