Boost leak..! Need health check

Featured Replies

Car is very reluctant on acceleration, full throttle will surge and then hold back and surge again etc.. Had similar probs on an S4 with boost leak so I'm assuming the same here. Generally the car feels very sluggish to drive. Need a pressure test for boost + I'm guessing might need some new bits and pieces eg DV. Can anyone recommend a good place close to Bham? Need it sorted asap. Thanks

Also have a horrible droning/humming sound when driving, gets worse at times, particularly bad when accelerating between 30-40 and 70-80mph, have thought it might be a wheel bearing, but I'm starting to think exhaust or maybe otherwise now. Any thoughts appreciated.

Pumabuild in Perry Barr, Birmingham do a boost leak check for 40-50 pounds. I had my VRS checked there, and it was my Forge Dump Valve that was leaking boost, so i replaced it for the standard DV. Really good service, recommended :)

You can service the forge valve, it's simple to do http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/valve_service.pdf

Well worth a visit. I've travelled up from Oxford a few times to get them to look at mine.
