1.2TSi - Iridium plugs - Anybody fitted them?

Featured Replies

The manufacturers make quite big claims for these. Has anybody fitted them in the 1.2TSi (105) ? I have a TMC box on too although I think any performance increase is well within the parameters of standard plug ratings. Also is there a compatibility chart for the different brands? I have been unable to find one on the net that covers such a 'new' engine.

Thanks

Excellent topic. Do you or anyboody else know the part number of the spark plugs fitted by manufacturer? Then may be easier to find out a cross reference chart.

The plug for the 1.2TSI in the yeti/octy is PFR7S8EG (NGK) but I haven't found any further data yet

Update: It appears that this is the OEM plug and is a double platinum laser plug?????

Further update: the pictures of this plug indicate it has a fine tipped tapered electrode, much the same as the Iridiums so maybe we already have the best for this engine?

Manufacturer's part no is 06H 905 601 A which is cross referenced by NGK's part number you provided. The http://changegears.w...-a-ngk-pfr7s8eg says that indeed is a double platinum laser plug and that is a grade colder that those provided by another great spark plug manufacturer.

These are some cross references I found in a Greek spare parts e-shop.
