On the MPG '2' reading, is this the average since I last reset, or over a certain number of miles? The manual doesn't go into detail.

If the same as the Octavia's Trip 2, then the trip memory is collated for any desired number of individual trips up to a total of 100 hours travelling time, 10,000km distance and 1,000 litres of fuel - whichever comes first. The calculation then starts from the beginning again. You can reset it any time you wish.

As well as the MPG there is also a miles display for the [1] and [2] counters.

Your MPG is the average over that distance.

You can reset it by holding the bottom button in for a couple of seconds while on the [2] setting , and the average will then be for how many miles since you did the reset.

If you don't reset the [2] counter then it will keep going till you have done 999 miles and show you the average over that distance.

I always reset the second counter each time I fill up.
