HTC ONE X and 2011 Superb bluetooth compatible?

Featured Replies

does the rsap bluetooth system in my Superb work with HTS ONE X smartphone (android 4 ics) please

If you have a look in the ICE section I have pinned a bluetooth guide including RSAP compatible phones.

The HTC won't be on that list, as it's just been released

I am aware of that thanks, I wondered if anyone had bought one and had success in pairing with it.

The phone will connect to the car if the car has the more recent Bluetooth box (from 2010ish I think). If the One X has RSAP, it will connect to any MK2 superb with Bluetooth. Hope that makes sense :p

I spoke to HTC today and they were unsure if has rsap or something more advanced,

my Superb is 2011 and curently pairs with HTC HD2 with full functionality...hope it's the same with ONE X

My desire HD pairs with my 2011 superb with full functionality. The only thing it doesn't have is the ability to view text messages via the MFD, but I don't think your HD2 does either?

I can view text messages with my HD2 but have to save them back to the phone to keep them .

On the HTC website, there is no mention of RSAP on the one X, so expect no texts. I don't see the point of that feature anyway. It's only safe to read texts when your not in motion in which case, you could just use the phone

Your HTC ONE X should work with the Superb's BT but only over HFP, not over RSAP. I have an HTC Sensation, not to dissimilar and that pairs fine over HFP.

Only later Superb's support HFP. The reason it does not work on RSAP is that Dual Core HTC phones don't seam to support RSAP.

On some forums they say Android does not support RSAP with multi core phones, but this can not be true as the Galaxy SII works on RSAP and it is dual core.

RSAP is a very old technology and HFP is newer. HFP works fine for my Sensation, but you won't get text messaging supported by it. Phone call's works fine though and I can even use Spotify over bluetooth and control it with the steering wheel buttons.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for reply not being familiar with HFP, could you tell me what its capable of... ie phone book down load to car, test messages to maxidot screen, dialing from

steering wheel controls, use of car speakers for incoming call etc

It will be everything except the text messages

Also difference is in aerial used. Rsap uses car aerial, but HFP uses aerial in the phone.
