Superb Scout official

Featured Replies

Does anybody know if the scout will be made in the near future ? I know about the custom made model. Anybody ?

They've just announced the demise of the Octavia Scout so I doubt it...

Is that demise temporary until the Mk3's out or permanent?

Not too sure, I hope its temporary.

The waiting list on the Scout is up to about 9 months. I guess they need to free up the production lines ready for the MkIII..

Unlikely with the recent launch of the Passat Alltrack - can't see VWG wanting to harm core sales. Suspect that was why the Octavia Scout dropped.

It's not just the Scout that's been dropped, the 1.2 TSi and 2.0 CR engines have also been dropped from the Octavia range. I reckon they are simply preparing for the introduction of the Octavia Mk III.

If VW are worried about the Scout taking sales from the Alltrack then they may as well do away with Skoda altogether as the Fabia competes with the Polo, the Octavia with the Golf, the Superb with the Passat and the Yeti with the Tiguan.

The two brands work well together and LHD Scouts continue to be available to order in mainland Europe.
