Hello , My name is Peter and i am from sweden , gothenburg . And i am new here in the forum . I own an Skoda Felicia 1.3 mpi year 2000 . I wonder whats normal idling speed for My engine is ? My engine runs with 6-700 rpm warm and my battery light is glowing . I have change the regulator without results . Battery light Only turned on when idling and goes out when i driving . What Can it be ? I'm sorry for My bad english . Peter .

idle speed should be 800 +/- 50 rpm.

I would also check the belt tension, brushes and diode plate, in this order.

I have fix the problem : reset the throttle body . Now it's running nice again :)

that's why i 'like' modern cars.

now there are more parts that can fail (sensors and the computer itself)

you can fix almost anything in a no ECU car quite easily on the road, while having a dead computer or a messed memory makes you stare at the engine with the bonnet open on the side of the road.

Yes... You cant just turn a screw and get it running again!
