have used this for a long time now and upgraded again last night to the newest version but i now don't seem to be able to recive pictures from poeple, have sent pictures and recieved various other file types but it won't recieve pictures. just says that the file has been blocked as it may be dangerous. bllody thing

I upgraded as well. its the uipload to 7.0.0777 that you dont want!!

I can't recieve files either! Am degrading back down somewhen so that its easier. Xav had the same problem but then as soon as he went back again it was fine!!

we've got that version on our big pooter, and i've got it on my laptop and no probs on either. just have this problem with bengies laptop...i put it down to him being a flid

Why do you think it blocks things - it's right, it can be dangerous and regularly virusses spread via MSN Messenger...

I'm sure there is an option somewhere to allow it again?

oh. ok. oh well-its annoying anyway. will degrade soon!(i keep saying i will!!)

I have a useful little patch for removing the advertising and other useless stuff from MSN if anyone would like it.

It also has an option to allow file transfers.

thing is, he can send me a picture...but when i try to him one back his msn messenger blocks it but let me send him a video???

if your trying to send a file to someone then as long as only one of the two (you or them) have got an earlier version than 7.0.0777 then file transfers will work.

laurence, all 3 pooters in the house (my laptop, pandy's laptop and the shed) have the latest version and its only when you try and send to my laptop that it blocks it. thing is i can send anything and recieve all sorts. just not pictures
