So I sell carbon wrap and have like 30 metres spare at the moment and was sitting at home in the rain last night thinking what can I do.

I was asking you guys for advice on how to pull off the stereo surround so I said I'll go out and pull it off.

So I took out the cabin light. The gear surround. The surround around the stereo and the light switch beside the steering column. I couldn't however remove the ashtray cover. So if anyone knows how to remove that could you let me know.

and to get your ash tray out theres i think thes 4 torx.. deffo 2 under your gear stick trim.. i think theres 2 at the top of the ash tray as well..

That aldi special stereo looks complicated lol, are they any good?

They do the job for €60. Memory card slot. Mp3. USB and 3.5mm input lol. Better than what was in it. It didn't come with the original radio and the one it came with didn't work great.

Did that trim around stereo come off easy mate, im planning the same thing

Yeah. Came off easy. Just pull it. I didn't need any screwdrivers or anything. I just opened the ashtray and pulled from the bottom. The gear surround was a little more trickier as you have to remove the gaiter. I just used a screw driver to pop the bottom (handbrake end) out first then the top fell out. You'll see what I'm talking about when you lift her up.

Anyway. Don't know why I can't upload photos via tapatalk so uploaded them via photobucket. So heres all the photos of what I've done so far. Still have to take the ashtray out.

Yeah when I was buying my carbon I did a survey on a few lads as I used to run a car modification website (even though I know nothing about engines and mechanics lol). I could get black, white, silver, red or blue carbon. Was buying in bulk and wanted to see what would sell best. Out if 245 people or so that I asked. Only one said white and one said blue. Everyone else was black. So never actually bought any of the other colours. Would be interesting to see the silver carbon. So keep me posted when you do it.

Does look cool in all fairness. I'm hoping to get a load of different colours eventually in. Looking at importing some matte colours aswel like green, orange, black, white, pink, red etc... Along with eventually all the above carbon colours. But it's expensive a roll when you don't exactly have a good income lol. The plan is to have a range of colours hanging on the garage wall lol.

Actually my mrs loves the silver ds3 with a pink roof thats at citroen lol

i wrapped the door handle trims in 3m di-noc and it would not stick right on the edges as the surface is not flat and has those little groove bit in it. was alright till the sun come out so took it off in the end.

It's not made by 3m but would be something very similar. It's just a 3d vinyl.

I dont think inside is so bad, anything outside i reken should be hexis or 3m as it take alot of shizal
