1.8 TSI S DSG Estate or 1.8 TSI SE Hatch?

Featured Replies

Which would you choose?

I think that is a totally personal choise. Do you rate auto box over the extra toys of the SE? I think if was me I would go for the toys / finish

Personaly for me Hatch is ugly like hell....

For estate you can have automatic rear boot but for Hatch no! It work pervect when ouside is dirty weather

This is exactly my problem - can't decide.

I feel the estate looks better too but here in the UK the hatch is much cheaper for the Diesel. If I was chooing petrol I'd have the Elegance estate 1.8 TSI

i have had them both ! And if you get more value for money with the hatch......buy the hatch in a dark colour with the orginal spoiler on the boot lid ! It stretches the car a bit !

UK spec for hatch allows small boot to be opened remotely using key fob, but need to close manually, and operate hatchback manually, so back to personal preference.

Hatch is vast, I know a number of people think it is not as well balanced a car to look at as the the estate, but unless you absolutely need the capacity of the estate the price increment may wel lbe better spent on higher spec in hatch.

There are items not specced on the S such as reversing sensors and cruise that may be worth thinnking about- the Superb is a big car and sensors are a boon when parking, similarly if you do high motorway miles cruise makes it so much more relaxing.

The other toys such as climate, bolero, puddle lights, illuminated door handles seat material will be nice, but are they worth the price premium to you?

What about doing what I did- S hatch with cruise, sensors as extras?
