I have a 12 reg 1.2tsi, one of the number plate bulbs at the rear is not working and the reason I know this was thanks to the 'warning' light on the driver display, have arranged for dealer to fix,....no probs, however an hour later the dealer rang to say that they will need the car for a bit longer as they have been informed by skoda that it needs a 'update' on the power steering. Anybody know anything about this?

Another one? I rung up Skoda Customer Services yesterday afternoon and at that point the only thing they needed doing was the badge and the turbo shims.

Yup, some have a rather long winded ecu update to the PAS ECU. The recall is to fix the PAS light coming on for no reason, bit of a software glitch although I've yet to seen one come on because of this fault.
