It's motorsport day...

Featured Replies

It started at 7am with F1 on the Beeb, where it should be and then BTCC on ITV4, and the WTCC on Eurosport. A decent day's viewing.

Few years since i've watched BTCC but watched it last week and was back to how it used to be cars crashing into each other bumper to bumper racing. quiet enjoyed watching it

Had it on on and off today aswell

After watching the 3rd touring car race I think Jason Plato either needs points on his race license or his 2nd place taken away because that was dirty driving. well done to Mat Jackson for holding off the NGTC cars though

Nah, rubbin's racing and Flash is a whinging .....

I saw the 2nd race, not sure who it was, but a red Focus pulled over the track into a yellow Vectra, taking them both out, then looked like he was gonna rip the Vectra driver out of the car? What a twunt!

Especially as it was (the Focus' driver's) fault...post race interview suggested it was 50/50 but I agree it didn't look like that on track

From all the replays the Focus clearly thinks it can go for a gap that isn't there!

Think he felt a bit stupid afterwards having seen the replay lol. I switched over to WTCC, first time i`v watched it, we really good, just like super fast hardcore touring cars, with maybe a little like dirty driving.

Having watched the F1 and the BTCC today it's confirmed my view that the BTCC is much more exciting to watch.

I'm not too bothered the BBC have lost the F1 now, it is more stratergy than racing action.

I'll be catching all the BTCC action on ITV4.

It was the first time i`v watched BTCC in ages and it was great, really good, almost as good as the good old days but I think its lacking that something extra. I dont know if its the few factory teams involved now or what but it just doesnt give me the butterfly's in my stomach that F1 does at the start when the lights go out. It could be purely down to me just not having a particular allegiance to a team or driver in the BTCC (when I was about 8 I was the worlds biggest Rickard Rydell/Volvo fan) That said, i`m fully planning to go and watch it at some point, £35 for a weekend ticket is great value motor racing at its best.
