Hey Briskoda!

Just picked up my 53 plate mk1 Octavia vRS today, so thought I'd report in.

Been a Volvo 850 T5 pilot for the last 6 years. Whilst I'm sad to be saying goodbye to it, I think I've made the right choice moving over to the Octavia.

I'm based in North Shields, Tyne & Wear, so would love to hear from any other North East members!

Welcome to Briskoda. I'm glad that you are happy with the Octy and I hope you can find all the help and advice you need on Briskoda.

The best way I personally find to see who is close is to take a look in the 'meetings' section on Briskoda. To save time, the direct link can be found here: http://www.briskoda....local-meetings/ I know that 'Skoda meets' aren't for everyone but you should pop along to one. They range from general driving meets, pub outings, track days and other general banter!

Meets have been really helpful for me in the past to put names to faces / If you have a general problem and need advice / Just to get out the house and meet others with a similar interest.

Was a member of vpcuk (volvo forum) for years and thought I'd be hard pressed to find a better forum than that, but I can honestly say this forum to be brilliant for info.

Very happy to be a Skoda convert. I'm sure I'll be attending a meet near mine soon.
