Buying old Superb Taxi

Featured Replies

Hi :-)

I'm considering buying a 2010 Superb Combi, Elegance, 170 DSG.

As we are blessed with 180% tax on cars in Denmark, I was looking at an old taxi (old is 2 years..) that has run 160.000 miles. Price is 25.800,- GBP. The car has everything, soundsystem, remote controlled webasto, leather seats, Nav, electric tailgate etc. It's a countryside taxi so it has taken some longer stretches.

But is there any users here with that kind of, or close to, milage that can give some advice on what to look for? Can the DSG handle much more milage?

And no, I can't afford a Superb with low milage as a similar used non-taxi would cost 50.000,- GBP.

Thanks

I'm guessing it still not covered by a 3 year warrantee either?

At least I wouldn`t buy it if the DSG is still original.....5000 euros is not enough when it breaks down..... :giggle:

get a history on the DSG.... if its original and untouched, I doubt it would go past 200k........ if was replaced, or repaired, recently, maybe ;)

drive it, and look for normal fast smooth changes, no clunking

Thank you for inputs. Will check up on the gearbox, but I'm sure it's the original. Skoda In Denmark only offers 2 year warranty.

But I shouldn't be concerned with the milage on the engine?

Might be worth finding out how much a DSG is too
