VRS Green caliper paint mixed and ready to test!

Featured Replies

My brakes have been bugging me since i've had my car but always put it off due to not being able to get the vrs green colour :wall:

Until now! I decided to get some enamel based paint mixed up in the same colour, its fully dry within 24 hours, withstands up to 100 degrees (more than the halfords stuff) is very glossy and withstands oil/fuel etc.

Here's a pic of the colour match, doesnt fully come accross on the iphone camera but does look like a decent match!

The only snag is its recommended to use a primer, I might give 3 of them a go with primer and one without to see how much its affected.

The minimum I could buy is 1 litre so if it's any good I can pass the rest on to someone else :)

I'll do them this weekend and report back the result!

I've used the Pantone code which I got from an old thread.

Good colour match is that Phil. Should look awesome!

Same with mine really lets the car down!

With the recommendation of primer, especially on the rust i've decided to go with the Hammerite red oxide primer. Should prevent it from lifting any time soon!

you can also get some garage door paint from homebase called windsor green i think and thats also a very good match.Less than a tenner to.
