I am new to the skoda world and have dove in feet first with a mk1 silver octavia VRS,

Mods:

Low as f~#k ( so low that when i changed the rear hub the spring fell out when i jacked it up!!)

tints

janeric atmosferic dump valve

std spiders in matt black

black grill (just dun that last week)

cat back full stanless 2.5" bore straght threw cobra system square/ovel exit

turbo timer (not fitted yet locking issue)

boost/oil pressure gage's in air vents

stage 1 remap (225BHP aparently, boost hard right into 4,5 gear reading 19/20 psi on gage)

piper cross ind kit

Bad points:

Gay stickers (nurburg ring etc)

some lacker peel

MAF goosed

carpet stained in driver foot well

passinger door wont lock

passinger window wont work

neer side mirror wont work.

I no how to fix all the bad points BUT not the door/window/mirror issue!!!!!!!!

Can any body help me????

Probably a corroded wire between the car and the passenger door if nothing in the door is working. Does the puddle light work or not with the sidelights turned on? get the doorcard off (if you can open the door) and check the wires where they come through the rubber grommet from the car body.

Might as well sell the turbo timer they're pointless on these cars and they need a recirc DV instead of an atmospheric

the door is unlocked and wont lock plus it doesnt have the push pin.

The boy i got it from says it needed a part, cant remember wat it is but it was about £60 It works all the eletrics on that side.

The light dosent work on both doors (driver or pass).

looking at getting a forg recirc DV, but i love the tissssss!!!!!!

Spoke to my man bout the DV and he told me it whouldnt make that much of a diff with the atmosferic on, plus dont no if it was mapped with the DV on or off dont want to mess it up?!?!?!?

Dont no if you remember but in my pic the DV is located diff to the norm, it's a long way off the recirc hole.

Not sure what part that would be. The door lock has a microswitch but I don't think that has anything to do with the mirror and window as well, as far as I know they just have their own wires going into the door. Might as well get the door card off then trace the wires for the window, lock and mirror and see if they all go into a common box if so thats what needs replacing.

Odd that the puddle light doesn't work on either front door with the sidelights on. The passenger side one might be the same problem as above but the drivers side one might just be a blown bulb.

A recirc DV will still give you the tisssssh if you've got an induction kit. Sounds like you have a DV relocation kit fitted though bit like Rob Clubleys:

Im going to get the door card off (both of them) and take a look.

My DV sits where the forge blanker is and my blanker is on the air ilent rubber.
