Vag Com connection problems

Featured Replies

Im having problems connecting vag com to my mk1 octy vrs.

I keep getting "No response from controller" in the engine section and 1 or 2 of the other sections aswell (although the main one i want to connect to is the engine). It will however connect fine to areas such as: abs, air bags, steering wheel, climatronic, heating etc.

The lead is a 3rd party one borrowed from a friend and im using the download of vcds-lite from the ross tech website.

The lead is installed on ok and i have it set to com4 in device manager and vag com sees it ok in the test. I have also tried setting the baud rate to 9600, 4800 etc as per ross tech instructions.

Now the strange bit is it connects fine to my friends car which is a 2002 mk1 octy vrs aswell.

Anyone have any suggestions as im pulling my hair out here.

Thanks

Dazz
