140PD Fuel filter

Featured Replies

Hi, been given conflicting information of when to change the fuel filter in my 140pd. Dealer says 60K but independent VAG always change at the 2 year major service which is coning up next month. Personally I think 60K is far too much as I need the engine in peak condidion as i will be touring Scotland with the caravan.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Cheers,

Mark

Just change it doesn't cost much and is easy to do, personally I change them every 20k.

Skoda does indeed recommend 60k

I bought a genuine service kit from Pullman VW off e-bay a while ago so I already have the filter. Will get it changed at the service.

Cheers,

Mark

For the cost I get mine changed at every 10k when serviced at a garage and I replace it every 5k when I do an oil change at home

It may seem overkill but I always notice the engine running smoother after its been changed

I'm on variable servicing, so change mine at every service (18K)
