Changing BCM issues (O2FL) - what to do?

Featured Replies

The car is a 2011 Octavia Combi. It is OEM fitted with a 085 BCM, which I wanted to replace for putting on foglights/DRL. I managed to find a 087 BCM from a wrecked Octavia Combi cheap.

Today i changed the BCM. I copy/pasted the code from the old unit, and also took screendumps of all the different bytes. Then I disconnected the battery, and changed it. Actually, it worked quite well; but...

My rear doors are missing! The car does´nt register if they´re open, and the centrallocking does´nt work. When I lock the car on the remote, the front doors lock as normal, the little light in the drivers door flickers as normal, then lights red for some seconds, and then just behave as normal - but the rear doors are not locked!

I have tried the coding the new box came with (was from a car similar to mine, just better equipped), that did´nt sort it. I tried to copy/paste the complete code from the 085 box - did´nt work. Finally I tried the original 087 codes, and then corrected different items from the screendumps I took before changing the BCM.

I can delete the faults, but when I try to lock the car, they come right back up. The fault about the dimmer switch is because my car does´nt have one; and I can´t find anywhere to turn it of in VCDS.

So, what do I do now? Any help will be very gladly taken.

Update:

Hope you can help me out on this one.

I have just ordered foglights for my Octavia from 2011. In order to connect them, I needed a new BCM, as the old one did´nt have the pins out to connect them. The old one is a 1K0 937 085 H. I´ve found a 1K0 937 087 J from a wrecked Octavia 2010. It works, but I have a problem - the centrallocking in the backdoors does´nt work anymore! The issue is, all the pins for the centrallocking in the rear doors, has been moved to another location! Did´nt see that one coming, since the new BCM came from a similar car. The connections on the current BCM is:

A30 Input doorswitch RB

A38 Input lock LB

A40 Input lock RB

A41 Input doorswitch LB

A48 Output lock LB

A49 Output motor RB

B7 Output motor LB

B8 Output lock RB

B26 Output SAFE LB

B27 Output SAFE RB

The pin-connections are just empty on the new one.

So, what to do? Do I need a new BCM, or is it possible to figure out where to connect these wires on the new one? I don´t understand why they has been moved, when the car is similar. I only have a pin-out diaphgram for the original box.

I will be happy for all help!

Thanks,

Kasper

Not much response in here. Found out, that the BCM is not right for my car. So have a 1K0937087J up for sale. Will fit 2010 Octavia´s, as it came from a Combi 1.6 TDI DSG 2010.

That BCM should work just fine once configured properly, normally I would recommend to any of our customers contact us directly with a scan from the original and new module but...

...since you are using a pirated version of VCDS there isn't much we're gonna do for you - I'm certain you can understand that.

Since it is 1/20 of the price of a "original" cable, I guess you can imagine why I bought it. The information I was searching for, was also from other "normal/private" members. But don´t worry, I did manage to retrofit foglights and TPMS to my O2FL without any help. Wrong BCM.
