Seat Sport Intercooler Fitting Kit

Featured Replies

Just wondering if those who have fitted/fitting a Seat Sport Intercooler with the Forge pipework can help me out. I wish to fit one to my own car but the issue I have is Forge no longer supply any other colour than blue which is a bit pants and will look silly on a red car so I wish to source my own pipework (possibly work out cheaper in the long run.....)

I'm just a bit stuck as to what size pipe work I am in need of and I'm wondering if you helpful lot can help me out.

I need to know the bore size of the silicone pipe work throughout the kit, including the reducer size's for the intercooler end aswell as the angle of the pipe (I assume looking at pic's its 45 deg)

Also what's the bore size of the hard pipe's themselves?I know I will have to buy the one pipe with the sensor and the couplings from Forge, again is the longer hard pipe a 45 deg angle and what's the overall length?

Many thanks for your help

Adam

Have you tryd ringing forge direct to see if they will supply with a different colour? I cant see why not as they have it all in stock. worst they can say is no.

I've tried, rang them direct through my work and they can only offer blue and same was said by another company I contacted regarding them plus I cant get a discount anymore as forge have recently put the price up.

2" throughout, and 2.5" at the end intercooler tank end.

I made my own kit, for a lot less than Forges stuff, and used this.

Cheer's for that. Just had a price up over on Demon Tweek's and for all the Silicone hoses in Green, with heavy duty Mikalor clamps it works out at £152 (£44 is the clamp's alone which are better quality than the one's in the kit's sold by Forge)

Just need to try and price the other bit's up. Demon Tweeks sell a forge alloy Air and water pipe in 45 deg angle, for £17 not sure if it's the same one in the kit....

I can't price up the other bit's from Forge as there website isn't working at this moment in time.

You'll need a map sensor pipe and possibly some of their alloy couplers. That's really silly and pointless they only supply blue. I can only think its to get you to buy their full kit!

Take a look at forges SS style kit if you want to buy the SS kit new from seat as it may work out cheaper!

Well even at the current price's which I have been quoted it will still work out cheaper than the SS style kit. I can get a hold of a brand new SS Intercooler from my local TPS for £237 plus I think it's around £10 for the brackets I seem to recall somebody saying. then the pipework is around £225 so should all in all work out below the £500 mark....

Right the Forge website is back up and running now, but I'm having some issues trying to locate the sensor pipe. Found the alloy couplings, turn out those aren't cheap at £27+VAT ea.

Can anybody point me in the right direction for the sensor pipe please?

Bump can somebody please find me the correct MAP sensor pipe on Forge please :D I'm after ordering these items this week if I can

Nah not quite mate it is that bottom bend section thats welded on that I need.

Cant you just order the blue and apply some of this?

Provided its not rubbing anything, it should last quite well.

I'd rather not do if I'm honest, I'd rather just do the job correctly and source the part's separate to get the desired look I want
