Pressure washer/sprayer query

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am looking for a hand held (non-electrical) pressure washer/sprayer, but wanted to know if anybody has one or knows of one that they can recommend?

I live in a flat which does not have an outside water supply, so I need something that I can use to clean the bike/car and also has a fair amount of pressure for those hard to reach areas and stubborn marks - as well as using a snow foam if possible. Any help / advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Probably ok in your areas but worth considering any supply restrictions. I'm stuffed down in Kent!

Yeah we have a hose pipe ban coming into plan in North London as well (if it's not already in place). That's another reason for looking at someone like a 5 litre garden sprayer etc. Not sure how effective it will be though and whether it would enable me to use a snow foam in it?

You can get pump sprayers from the likes of Wilko's etc. for a few quid. Never used one, but i dont think they work too well with snowfoam, however meant to be reasonable for use with Traffic Film Removers

I have just bought one from Wilkinson's for £10 (IIRC 7-8ltr capacity) there is a fair amount of pressure in it but the water comes out as a fairly fine spray (this is adjustable) it certainly will not replace the watering can but it's ideal for rinsing the wheels and wheel arches, not tried the SF in it though.

Ironically I now use MUCH more water than I do with the Karcher (if you believe their advert on the TV it uses 80% less water). but that's the well thought out hosepipe ban for you

Or go completely left field, and go for some ONR.
