Oh no, New car Tomorrow !

Featured Replies

I should be collecting my new Fabia vRS tomorrow, I am trading in my MKIV Golf and decided to get all my paperwork together and OH NO I can not find the log book. I moved house in November last year and know I sent off the log book with the change of address and now all I can find is the green and red parts off the bottom of the old log book.

Does this mean I can't trade the Golf in tomorrow and will have to wait for a new log book and not get the vRS?

I have turned the house upside down looking. :(

I believe they only need the yellow bit. But keep hunting and if you really can't find it, call them at 9am to let them know.

The dealer may still take your car in while you get the replacement if you cannot find the original one, when I picked up my Octy vRS 3 weeks ago the dealer just told me to bring in my log book when I get it as it had gone back to the DVLA for a number plate change, I suppose it all depends on the dealer.

Well it turns out that the missing log book wont be a problem

because whilst servicing it they dicovered the brakes need sorting out

and the parts for the cruise control havent turned up yet, so it wont be ready untill next week, so have a bit more time to get a replacement

not happy at all :(
