EM Light and Glow Plug Light

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Just a quick query. The Engine Management Light lit up on my car and then the Glow Plug light. I have read on the forum that the glow plug light could be a fault with the brake light switch. I am going to be checking the brake lights today. My concern is that the EM light has come on as well. Would this normally happen with the brake problem or would this indicate an actual glowplug problem. I have not noticed any change in the starting or general performance.

Would love to hear your thoughs on this.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

my car (Monte Carlo) is going in for this problem for the 3rd time in a couple of weeks, it's been an exhaust sensor the two previous times and as it's the 3rd time they are contacting Skoda for a fix hopefully. I'll update if/when I get further news.

If it was a VRs I would say spark plugs, but that still may be applicable on the Monte.

Woops; is it a diesel? If yes, then I'm no help.
