Multiple phones and blutooth

Featured Replies

Hi I have a small but annoying problem.

It seems that the car prefers to connect to the last connected phone instead of the phone first in the telephone list.

Is there anyway of changing the settings so that it connects to preferred phone if it is available?

When it searches for the last phone connected, but cannot find it, it will move onto the next phone that was connected, and so on until it finds the phone that you DO want to connect.

I hope that helps.

Not that I am aware of. You do know that you can go in to the bluetooth menu and tell it to connect to another phone on the list, don't you?

You may also want to consider not having bluetooth turned on all the time on the phone which connects when you don't want it to. Depending on the type of phone, that may be more fiddly than re-connecting via the car's phone's bluetooth menu. (On Android it's easy, if you have a bluetooth toggle widget on your home screen.)

Mine connects to my phone (most of the time but not always and then I have to prat about re doing the bluetooth connection) and then to my I Pod in the house which it thinks is a phone ( my own fault for streaming it) and all the time bings and bongs and tells me it can/cannot connect. How do you delete a phone/ipod from the list?? Very distracting when you are just setting off and Adel suddeny appears from nowhere.

In the Phone menu (press the phone button on the MFSW) under Bluetooth there is the option to delete a paired device. You have to have a device connected (or maybe you have to have another device paired - my memory of this detail is slightly hazy but I think something actually has to be connected) in order to be able to access this function.

Thanks EJ, i pod now deleted (once I had worked out what the MFSW is!!)

Great this forum, a lot better than trying to decipher the Yeti Adebeyor.

Cheers
