help please

Are all your internal lighs working correctly and had your battery recently been replaced?

Not as daft as it seems because I had that problem (as well as the door at times) when there was water in the underfloor area.

There are other threads on this site that deal with door problems, have a brouse.

hi mate yes everything else works fine just this door sensor thing sumtimes it works and sumtimes it doesnt but i havent a clue how to get to this door module thing that i ave been told about

If it was just the dash screen then I would say the sensor but as the door will unlock I believe it can only be the module in the door. If all your doors unlocked then it would be what ever sends the signal for the central locking to unlock but as it is only the one door I believe that that door module would be at fault. Others as they say would probably be better informed than I to help you.

The bottom lin is unless you are confident at looking at this in detail then try an auto electrician as they will be cheaper than a dearler, though the dealer might pick the problem up on the diagnostics.

Good luck.

If you haven't then check for water under the passenger side carpet.

Which if present will almost certainly due to too "Are all your internal lighs working correctly and had your battery recently been replaced?"

Mine is on the module. Though on my Superb 1 I had that and the water.

My money would be on dry joints in the door lock control module:

+1. Check the joints from the door lock mechanism. Had a friend, that had exactly the same problem. Problem was in microswitch, that had been separated.

Mine locked & I had to get the garage I use to smash the old lock so the door could be opened, I think they fitted a golf mk4 1 & it locks faster then the others, it was a fiderly job they said.

I've probs with the rear passenger door & the drivers! I think there has been water in the ECU but there always seams to be something on here about door probs.
