A warning about HL Austin London

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just a note of caution.

I purchased my Octavia vRS from HL Austin (now Wimbledon Honda - same faces, same people, same owners) last year (2011). Love the car to bits however I was very glad that I had paid for a one year warranty when an engine management light indicated a failed turbo boost valve. Called HL Austin who instructed me to get the repairs done locally and to then send the bill to the warranty company.

Ideal!

Until I called the warranty people and discovered that HL Austin had never registered my vehicle with them!

Three months, two letters and god knows how many phone calls later and all I have received from this company is flannel and empty promises. Now they have changed name to Wimbledon Honda, however they still service Skodas.

I am now stuck with with a £660 bill and the hassle of a small claims court to go through (and yes Andrew, I will be seeing you there).

Be very wary of this company and insist on a hard copy of your warranty before you hand over your money!
