Stupid question i know, but i have a 1999 Octavia estate SLX, TDI. Is it a mark 1 or 2 ?

Have always driven large cars, such as Hilux and Jag etc, i now would only ever buy a Skoda again. It was the best £1600 i have ever spent. Owned it for 2 years, one previous owner and still only done 97,000 miles and not a spot of rust on it.

1999 makes it a Mark 1. I think the Mark 2s came in some time 2003/4.

Yep, mark 1 pre facelift. I had the 1.8 petrol slx as my first octy, it was brilliant!
